TEXAS
CB Aaron Williams reportedly ran the 40 in the mid-4.4 range at the Longhorns' pro day, a significant improvement - for a corner - from his somewhat disappointing combine time of over 4.5 seconds that threatened to push him out of this year's opening round. D sam Acho, on the otherr hand, stood on his combine performance and participated only in the OLB positional drills with several 3-4 teams on hand top see if he can indeed possibily play in reverse. OG Michael Huey (6-4, 305), who was not invited to the combine aftrer suffering an MCL injury late in the season, had a solid day running the 40 in the 5.1-5.2 range and posting 35 rps in the BP, one more than any offensive lineman managed at the combine.
HOUSTON
At least OG Isaiah Thompson broke the 6.0 hurdle at the Cougars' pro day after failing in that goal at the combine as he was credited with 40s in the 5.65-5.75 range. WR James Cleveland had a disappointing day as he struggled to break the 4.9 mark in the 40 and did little to impress in the other physical tests. CB Jamal Robinson impressed in the VL and BJ with leaps of 39 and 10-7 inches respectively and 19 reps in the BP, but only ran in the 4.6range in the 40. On the other hand, WR Kierrie Johnson was abler to run in the 4.5 range for the 40, while posting a 33.5" VL but managed only 7 reps in the BP. Undersized DT Matangi Tonga (6-1, 290) put on an athletic performance posting a 40 time under 4.85 seconds, while registering a VL of 32.5" and 29 reps in the BP.
