Gators’ CB in legal dutch again … Florida CB Janoris Jenkins, a leading prospect for the 2012 draft, was cited for possession of marijuana over the weekend. Jenkins recently announced he was returning for his senior season after considering leaving early for the 2011 draft where he was projected to be a late first or early second round pick. Jenkins, though, underwent shoulder surgery at the end of the regular season and was not going to be able to work out for awhile. ......

Monday afternoon report ...

Because of plethora of OT prospects Wisconsin’s Gabe Carimi is playing some OG , while teammate John Moffitt is sliding in to OC at times. The OTs all looked good, but an interesting mix. Boston College’s Anthony Castonzo and Nate Solder of Colorado, for example, are more finesse types who would seem best suited for zone-blocking schemes and/or West Coast offenses whereas James Brewer of Indiana is good old fashioned mauler who needs to be selected by a power running team. Carimi is actually a bit of both, but still more mauler than dancer. And as noted earlier in the weigh-in notes, Pitt’s Jason Pinkston appears headed for OG because of limited mobility and lack of height.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma RB DeMarco Murray looks all the part of a four-star talent at RB with quickness and a real burst combined with good size and nice hands, although his injury history continues to haunt him with pro scouts.

Moffitt playing center? VERY INTERESTING.

Yes...as I noted in the other thread...it makes him a good prospect as a player that can switch between C or OG.

They were talking during the practices and they had different players who played LT at different positions to get the best players on the field. Some they had set in as an OG, since that happened I believe they had moved Moffitt into the Center position some during the practice drills. They also said he had played some center in college but I do not know how much.
