TIDBIT: The only NFL quarterbacks better than Favre right now are:

Tom Brady. Peyton Manning. And, uh ...

See what I mean? There are 32 teams, and Brady and Manning are the only two QBs you can absolutely, positively say are superior to Favre. And just to be polite, I'll add Ben Roethlisberger, Carson Palmer, Donovan McNabb, Matt Hasselbeck, Drew Brees and David Garrard to the mix.

That's eight. Maybe.

So there are at least 24 other teams, including the Packers, who have starting quarterbacks less desirable than Favre. Again, nothing against Rodgers, who finds himself between a rock and a legacy, but if the goal is to win as many games as possible, Thompson has to embrace Favre's possible return.

Well, you know, Romo has never won a playoff game in his many, many years as a starter in the NFL.

Foolish oversight or utter stupidity?

You decide!!!!!

Hard to believe the article could actually go downhill from there, but he pulled it off.

You forgot a 3rd option.... "Look at Me... I have an azzanine opinion... look at me" :duck:

Hahaha Donny McNabb better than Romo?

In 10 of McNabb's 14 starts last year, the Eagles scored 17 points or less.

Yes, 10 of 14. That's 71.4% of his starts. Seventeen points or less.

But yeah, he's totally better than Tony Romo. Brilliant.

Thats cause TO is here now :laugh2: j/k sorta

The funny thing is I hear that excuse for McNabb (that he doesn't have a supporting cast) so often... and it's rubbish.

McNabb has a very good O-line, the most versatile weapon in the NFL in Brian Westbrook, and last year he had a 1000+ yard WR in Kevin Curtis.

It's not as strong as the Cowboys' supporting cast, but it's far from a pack of scrubs.

But one thing I've learned from talking to NFL fans is that if they like their QB, nothing is EVER his fault.

The WRs weren't getting open and were running faulty routes, the OL didn't give him ample protection, the RB didn't take the pressure off of the passing game, the coaches are all idiots who couldn't call a game to save their lives, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. The only constant is that their QB is a perpetual All-Pro.

Ok... but he was setting his WR's up to take some big hits...

Remember when Pinkston did the "whoopseedaisey" while going for a pass...

Yep. That was back when Roy would torment the poor kid every time we faced the Eagles.

I miss that Roy. Would be great to have him back this year.

CRAP I shouldn't have brought him up.

Phew, that was close...

:lmao:

It'd be nice if Romo actually won a meaningful game in December/January in his career.

As for Gryphon, Donovan McNabb better than Favre? Pass over whatever your smoking.

But isn't life great when this is actually a true statement about your team?

Neither has Carson Palmer.
