His talents would marry up, here and now.

I mean, I guess Boys could at least kick the tires and see but funny enough, Eric Kendricks ranked higher than him in most categories so...

Germaine Pratt's NFL linebacker ranking has varied. In the 2024 season, he tied for 10th in the league in tackles, with 143. While he was a team captain and ranked highly in tackles, Pratt's run-defense grade was 63rd out of 189 eligible linebackers, according to Pro Football Focus. He also missed 19 tackles, an area where he needs to improve. He is currently ranked 110th out of 189 linebackers by PFF.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • Tackles: Pratt ranked in the top 10 in the NFL in tackles in 2024, with 143.

  • Run Defense: PFF reports a 70.1 run-defense grade, ranking him 63rd out of 189 linebackers.

  • Missed Tackles: Pratt missed 19 tackles last season, which was a weakness that could impact his overall ranking.

  • Overall PFF Ranking: Pratt is currently ranked 110th out of 189 linebackers by PFF.

On March 14, 2023, Pratt signed a three-year, $20.25 million contract extension with the Bengals.

On February 12, 2025, Pratt requested a trade from the Bengals.

I'm not sure what was driving his request to be traded. The Bengals couldn't trade him right before the draft? He seems like someone we could look into and see if he fits.

His recent extension wasn't too large that it would cause cap issues. I wonder what caused the release and for him to request a trade earlier this year?

Man I wish we used those cap $'s on him instead of Murray. He is more the run stopper we need on this team.

He's an average player, nothing special. We know our owners are cheap, they aren't paying much for a guy who really doesn't add a lot.

Would be a good vet LB presence.

That's a nice idea but everybody cut and everybody available is not a perfect fit for the Cowboys you do realize that they brought in Sanborn and Murray both free agent linebackers we still have liafu and a host of others like Clark oh the draft pick that we traded up to get in James I mean right now to me the linebacker room is set for now until they see something they don't like late in training camp or preseason as much as these are nice pickups we are absolutely loaded as far as bodies go to pick from at linebacker..

The Alexander talk is absolutely relative because we could use something at corner but this now they won't even be interested I promise you we've got lots of linebackers right now and overshown will be back...

So I'm gonna say no to this because I don't think they're going to consider it...
