The Catch is still my most painful cowboy memory, and every time we play the 49ers, it gets replayed over and over. It is truly annoying.

We had the game in hand at Candlestick Park, Danny White was about to take his place in the ascension of cowboy QB legends, and then Montana comes up with a desperate drive and finally the fateful throw to Dwight Clark that changed it all. I watched it live and it felt like slow motion even then.......... the way the ball just hung in the air.

A new dynasty was born that day instead of a continuation of our own....... Landry never made another super bowl.

Too Tall almost had the block - and D.D. appeared to be in position to make the sack.
But Joe Cool hesitated - then floated a duck to Dwight.
Everson's coverage was very good until his last adjustment.

One of the greatest plays, in one of the greatest games, in league history.

Just hope they give equal time to the "Aikman to Harper Slant" that occurred 11 postseasons later in the same stadium.

Every dang time they subject us to that "catch". It's annoying as hell.
Recently saw an interview with Montana, talked about the Cowboys trash talking that day before his pass to Clark. After the catch, Montana turned to great Cowboy DE Too Tall Jones, who pressured him, and said, "Respect that, mother (expletive)."

The game made me sick. I didn't like Montana then and I don't now. This is a big, big game Sunday.

Maybe watching that replay will give San Fran fans some comfort after they lose!
