While baby rattlers are more dangerous because they can't control the amount of venom they release (they usually shoot the whole load in a single bite.) ...........I'd imagine this little fella may have a couple of gallons in the 'ol reserves. :D

Corrected... ;)

Definitely not from AZ. I sure as hell won't see anything like that growing up in Queens!!! :D

I hate snakes! I've lived in AZ for 8 years and haven't encountered any rattlers yet.

:laugh2:

Snakes I can deal with. (never really saw one either :D ) It's the tarantula sized Wolf Spiders I encountered in AZ I couldn't handle. Eight-legged, venom squirting, spawns of satan!!! ;)

Sunny beach, that's a biiiiiig fargin' snake... gotta be an 8 or 9 footer, easy...

I wonder how old it is, to have gotten that big... or is it just a mutant, the Gheorghe Muresan of rattlers??

7'3" according to what I read. Found last September.

That snake was 7'3 in length. It said because of the way the picture was taken, the snake looks much larger than it really is.

Eastern Diamondbacks are the largest breed of Rattlers on record. They can grow as large as 8'x. This snake is large, but by no means the largest. As noted, it only looks like it's well over 10' long because of the position of the officer in the picture.

If it was truly 15 foot like many hoax websites reported, that would have been all over the news just for the fact that it would be almost twice the size of the largest recorded Eastern Diamondback ever found.

Then the dude standing there looking at it must be really short, 'cause the snake is up well over his head, and there's a foot or two of tail still on the ground...

Either way, I stand by what I said-- sunny beach, what a biiiiiiig fargin' snake... and I'm a west Texas boy, I know from rattlesnakes... LOL...
