Three teams have talked about trading for Matt Leinart

Trading Matt Leinart won't be easy because of his contract, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that three teams have discussed picking up Leinart: The Bills, Raiders, and Giants. It's unclear whether they've talked to the Cardinals or just have considered the move internally.

the giants are in a tough spot. They need a veteran backup.

What in the world would the bills do with leinart. the man might have the worst arm of all the starting quarterbacks and playing post halloween in buffalo would be a nightmare for him.

I can only imagine how bad leinart would be going into the wind while its snowing the first week of december up there. holy cow he would be bad.

I don't think we should one main reason is the fact that a big question mark on him is his dedication to the game. Instead of being in Arz during the off season working out at their facility he instead worked out in California. Here is a guy getting a 2nd opportunity to take the reigns and be the leader and he choose to be away from his teammate instead of with them.

I watched him the other night. He has such a slow release that he would get killed behind our line. Plus, he does nothing but throw the checkdown pass.

If the Cards don't even want him as a backup, why would we?

Lienart doesn't even want to play football, IMO. He's had a bad rap from his first TC and it's deserved. Last one in, first one out and they can't get him to watch film.

Leinart in New York City is a recipe for disaster.

He'd be partying and getting trashed every night.

As for the OP's question. Hell no. Leinart is a bust. He is the check down king and plays with zero fire.

He just got beat out by two rookies and Derek Anderson!!

lol, of ourse the Raiders want him. He's a top 10 pick.

Obviously the Giants are very desperate for a backup. I say we kick Eli's *** and make them play Leinart.

My neighbor down the street is looking at getting a Ford Edsel... I wondered if I should look at one too. But not for very long.

actually as a collectors car it might be a thought. But there are a surprising number of them out there in collectors clubs. There is even a rather large national group. I guess some people like to be REALLY different. To me a collectors car is one that people wanted AT THE TIME IT WAS SOLD.

I dunno, if only going the checkdown route gets you an 82% completion percentage and nearly 8 ypa, I don't think you can say it's that bad.

Bad enough to get beat out by Derek Anderson and TWO Rookies!! One who is an undrafted free agent at that!!

I'd rather go with Bomar over Leinart. I hope the Giants do not do this unless they get him for a song. If they want the dance too, forget it.
