Giants handled the blowout with some class

Couple things that caught my eye from yesterday.

1) Dexter Lawrence chose NOT to land on Dak with his full body weight when he drilled him. Once upon a time, Romo broke his collarbone when a Giant drove him into the turf. Lawrence put his hands out to brace his fall and made sure he didn't land on Dak - probably to avoid a penalty and a fine, but much appreciated anyways!

2) Justin Pugh was asked about Neville Gallimore kicking him in the groin, and he couldn't have been more gracious. He pointed out that he started it by 1) getting beat on the play and 2) shoving Gallimore first, while Gallimore was on the ground. He downplayed the kick by saying it didn't hurt him and continued to say that he feels bad because Gallimore will be fined, and he hates to see any player lose a huge chunk of money over a silly moment like that.

That was a great response by Pugh and a nice let up of sorts by Lawrence . That team has a ton of injuries .

I know the kick was uncalled for but really, what happens in the trenches to these guys on a play-to-play basis is far more damaging to their bodies.

It was an emotional moment in a physical setting and Gallimore lost his cool. He'll get fined for sure, but while I don't condone it, I can understand why he did it.

John Mara will probably have Lawrence benched and fined for going easy on Dak, same with Pugh for downplaying the kick to Gallimore. Lol

What's with all the Giants love in here? Some undercover Giants fan was raving about Danny Devito, and now they're oh so classy. Dude didn't land on Dak because dude didn't want an automatic 15.

I agree, that's probably his reasoning, though penalty yards didn't really matter at that point...but not getting fined may have been his motivation...or it's possible he just isn't a scumbag.

But what Pugh said definitely showed some class.

I noticed Dexter Lawrence was the first one to shake Big Mike's hand after the game. Maybe even a lil' bit of a "come get me" wink...lol.

Tommy, not Danny LOL. Loved him at Illinois but not sure he’s good enough for this level.

Actually, the Giants have always been a class act with great sportsmanship. It is the Eagles and Commanders that act like a bunch of yahoos (lol)

BS. The Eli- era Giants were stocked full of 100% mouthy punks. I'd start a list of the **** they pulled in our own house that the same-era Cowboys did nothing to halt, but the whole thought of their 2 highly improbable SB runs sickens me.

Much respect to Pugh on that response. A lot of people don't keep it real and honest.

Yeah Pugh didn't have to comment on it much at all and he chose to defend Gallimore. Good for him, I respect that.

The Pugh situation had me thinking about our QB situation several years ago, when Andy Dalton was our QB and he got shellacked and not one OL came to even check on him while he laid on the ground from the late hit I think.
