Giants sign LB Okerefe for $10 mil a year. What must Micah be thinking?

I'd rather not tie up a huge sum of money at the linebacker position.
Believe me hes gonna want a huge sum so I'd begin thinking about a trade for or maybe 2 number 1s for him.

If he continues to be the player he has been thus far Parson's next contract will likely be the largest defensive contract in Cowboy history....possibly NFL history. His chops yap a lot but so did Ray Lewis, Lawrence Taylor and a bunch of other D standouts.

Parsons, with 1 year remaining and a 5th-year option. should hold out aka what Zeke did and demand a new contract.

Well Stephen keeps saying the team is not spending in free agency because they have to pay CeeDee, Diggs and Parsons. My money says the Joneses give all three the Cowboys world famous “honest offer” and each player gets at least one franchise tag.

Nope I think all 3 get paid because they were “found by Jerry the football man”

Correct, I jumped ahead when viewing on spotrac. Parsons does have 2 years remaining on his rookie contract plus his 5th year option so he would have to wait until after this season to hold out according to NFL rules.
I get the feeling that he is so darn vocal and loud about football related matters that he is going to push hard for an early and big extension. I do not think anyone....his agent, Cowboy management or family/friends....can rein his in and keep him from start pushing for a new contract ASAP. I would not be surprised if we do indeed have another Zeke type holdout coming in the near future with this guy.

The question though will be if after this season, should Dallas stumble either in the regular season or the playoffs, does Parsons demand a trade instead of a new contract? He has shown his obvious desire to win while also showing his frustrations with personnel moves so it will be an interesting issue to watch.

Seeing as he’s going to be paid as an Edge rusher I don’t think he cares what LBs are getting paid.

Parsons isn’t going anywhere and even if he demanded a trade, Jerry wouldn’t allow it. I don’t see him demanding anything but more money which he’d get.

Especially the way he's on social media, always in pain, and goes quiet in games

That's a lie it will go down to the wire as usual, and they cave in resetting the market!!

After the Zeke holdout the CBA was strengthened to reduce holdouts for players under contract. The fines are no longer waive-able by clubs. 40k a day once Training camp starts for a player on his rookie contract that doesn't check in. 50k a day for players on an extension. I think players tagged/tendered but not signed are exempt.

What some players have done instead is fake an injury, Ramsey and Hopkins to get what they want.

With Parsons the potential is obviously there. We are talking about perhaps the best defensive Cowboys since Randy White. If he continues on this path for another year or two he will get paid and paid big. Likely paid more than he should. Jerry Jones will not let a talent like this get away. Jones and Son will fork up the big bucks probably sooner rather than later.
