Giants vs 49ers - who to root for?

Whenever I watch a game that doesn’t include my team, I always pick a team to root for. Usually it’s the underdog. I’m having a hard time deciding who I should root for in this game. I can’t stand either team, so I’m trying to determine what outcome would benefit the Cowboys most. I think either the Cowboys or Eagles will win the division, but either way I think the Cowboys end up with a better record than the Giants. So for me, I think it comes down to playoff seeding, and any loss for the 49ers could result in one or more home games for the Cowboys. So for that reason I’ve gotta go with the Giants.

Giants. We already beat them, so they can't get a head to head tie breaker against them. We play them at home next time, so we have the advantage in them. 49ers--not so much.

I am probably rooting for NY. Dallas, SF and Philly will likely be battling for the #1 seed.

The Giants on the other hand just aren't a threat to Dallas whatsoever imo.

San Fran all the way. I want then undefeated when we play them on Sunday Night Football in a couple of weeks. No injuries, no excuses, no "yeah, buts...".
Bring on the best, beat the best.

I want Dallas versus San Fran in three weeks with both teams undefeated, but I won't "root" for them. A 49ers loss could help down the road for sure.

Absolutely the Giants. They are of no threat to win the East with Daniel Jones as QB unless drastic injuries happen to Philly AND Dallas. We are fighting for the East and a top seed. Not sure if any other division in the NFC has 2 legit top teams that are both fighting for a top NFC seed.

A bigger debate would be Eagles vs Niners. I guess it depends where each team stands and how we compare. You can't get a top seed without winning a division so that will always come first.

Lets say this is a 3 team race for the NFC Championship. Teams 2 and 3 have to play 2 of the top 3 to win the Championship. Team 1 just has to beat 1 of them to win the Championship.
