Looks like the cast has a "situation", they are demanding a 200% raise .
I actually find the show pretty funny :laugh1: . I thought the new season would have an all new cast.

Can you imagine tuning in for a season of Jersey Shore without Snooki or Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino?
If the answer is no, you're not alone. It’s hard to imagine many of the MTV show's 3 million-plus fans would tune in to see someone else's bump or six-pack. And that's why the network airing the hit show should--and likely will--shell out to keep the reality stars happy. Or more pointedly, employed.
Consider the cast's argument as they allegedly demand 200% raises, placing them at pay levels comparable to entry level actors on scripted shows. Jersey Shore has put MTV back on the map, delivering buzz and ratings for an otherwise buzz- and ratings-challenged cable network.
No longer the cultural touchstone the network once was, the controversial reality series has become a major talking point in the national media and a must-see half hour for MTV. And while now would be a good time for MTV to downplay the cast's impact, the network can't deny it has (shrewdly) milked that cultural fascination with the show's stars, running marathons, specials and pre-award show segments with the collection of tanned 20-somethings.
Carrying less weight is the stars' argument that they can make more money shilling themselves than they can shooting the show. Sure, if they're willing to attend every envelope opening this side of the Atlantic (and they seem to be), they can make a killing. But the ability to mint money simply by showing up to flex muscles or throw back tequila shots comes with an expiration date (just ask the cast of 8th and Ocean), and sticking with the show that made them famous enough to get paid for this is the only way to extend it.
An MTV rep told Forbes, "We don't comment on any contractual conversations. Season 2 premieres July 29 and production is on schedule."
The question for MTV is whether the network's execs believe the source of the show's success is the concept or the cast. If they think it's the former, then it’s see-ya Snooki. But if they believe it’s the latter--and in this case, we do--Snooki and co. will stay put, and cash in.
