I wonder what the response would be around here if this happened.

You can enjoy the journey if you have the time or just skip to 21:55 of the video for the Cowboys.

BTW, if you're looking for a podcast to listen to I'd recommend Goat House. He's a Vikings fan but he's fair, knowledgeable and just loves the game. It's like he's a fan of all 32 teams.

So the Cowboys just did this. What would be your reaction?

Negative reaction from me. I wouldn’t want to give that to move up for a running back.

I wouldn't hate it, but I prefer staying put at 26 and not trading away picks.

Points wise, it's a pretty close deal. It doesn't say which TB 6th round pick (179, 181, or 196) but difference is 2 points between 179/181 and 196).

19th pick (278 points) + 181st pick (6 points) = 284
26th pick (223 points) + 90th pick (45 points) + 129th pick (19 points) = 287

Cowboys could insist on Tampa Bay's late 5th round pick (175th, 7 points) but the difference is marginal and the team wanting to come up typically has to overpay.

I could see Jerry being very proud of this draft day splash.

Yeah, the trade is fair.
I just don't know if I'd want to give up our 1st, 3rd, and 4th this year for Bijan

No, I don’t like it at all. If I had to have a RB I would take Gibbs at 26 and keep my mid round picks.
The Cowboys going back about 10 years give consideration to other players available before they make a trade.

I think Mayer and Porter will be very high on their draft board.

They would likely wait until all until only 1 of Bijan, Mayer or Porter are remaining before they attempt to trade up.

AT #19, some players that are available:
RB Bijan
TE Mayer
CB Porter
CB Banks
WR Hyatt
OG Torrance
DT Bresee
RB Gibbs

I honestly think if they trade up for anyone it will be Porter

I'd only CONSIDER Bijan at 26, if the pickings were slim. Otherwise, there is no RB worth taking at 26. Trading up and using resources to grab one would annoy me. But I'd get over it in about 5 minutes because there is nothing I can do about it, and it's 'go team' at that point.

Hate it. Because I know Jones would hate having that few picks, so he'd do something like blow a '24 2nd rounder to get back into this draft. Him sitting there with no picks is like a gambler dealt out of a poker game, he wouldn't be able to stand it.

Hell no.

This team doesn't have the luxury of trading away Top 3 round picks given how they brag about using the draft to fill their needs. A third round pick has a chance to be an immediate player.

Making it even dumber is the fact they'd be trading away a third round pick to go chase a freaking RB in a league where you don't need an elite TB to win.
