Me fellow lads, conractors and construction experts from the Punjab, this is a time tha is familiar to us, in our 27th year of wrack and ruin.

We are the perpetual maids of honor to weddings and coronations more suited to the shrewd, saavy and calculating. In other words, the antithesis of Jerald Jones, formerly of the Ozarks and now GM of the Cowboys.

In short, chaps and gal chaps, here are 5 things I believe are good things and 5 things that miff and peeve me. And 5 things that intrigue me, a man of refinement and an ebt card.
Holla, I am approachable if you don't smell bad.

Good things
1. Ah, our Defence. Strong, swaggering and aggressive. Quinn the Mighty is still here. There will be continuity here in a Dallas sea of uncertainty. Parsons has been figured out and exposed on DE. So let the talkative lad excel as the best linebacker in the NFL. Diggs, Bland, Kearse (if he stays) with a motivated DLaw make this a top 3 in NFC defense.
2. Jimmy kept it simple, lads. He believed in a set of triplets. Not 2 RBs and 3 star WRs but 3 main components. QB, RB and WR. Alright chaps, talents like Aikman/Smith/Irvin don't come around every day. But CeeDee and Pollard, if fully healthy, can be lesser versions of Irvin and Smith. Dak we are stuck with.
3. But if Dak can hand off the ball, use his legs even more and throw the occasional strike to CeeDee or Ferguson, we have a capable O.
4. Tyron leaving? Staying? Whatever, we still have great potential built around OLinemen Martin and Tyler Smith.
5. I am sure there is a No. 5 out there.

Things that miff and peeve me
1. With a D line that is porous, why doesn't Micah have more help with another stud LB? I don't trust LVE to stay healthy.
2. As much as I criticized Kellen, the idea of Fat Mac calling the plays is as appetizing as a gas station sandwich.
3. ShortenTimer will bring his offensive scheme to Dallas. But give them a year of Fat Mac calling plays and 6 losses and ShortenTimer and Fat Mac will be at each other throats.
4. I dunna want to see the dense Dak to have to relearn much with ShortenTimer bringing his new scheme. The lad Dak struggles with mechanics; don't make him think much about new things.
5. Gallup has undergone the sturgeon's knife once again. Why do we need this overpaid JAG who is that mangled?

Things tha intrigue me
1. Mike Solari. Remember tha name because I wont. He is known for his zone blocking scheme. I read somewhere tha he is keen for linemen to block to create gaps and thus create several routes for our RB. Tha way, blokes, instead of our RB waiting and hoping for a hole, he might have an option of 2 or more openings. My question is, this is sooo keen but if so, why don't others use it tha much?
2. The draft. If Jerald does not pick OL/NT/QB in the first 3 rounds then he is a fool. A bigger fool. The intriguing part will be how Quinn and ShortenTimer will divide the draft goodies. Quinn is 1-2 players away from have a monster D. ShortenTimer needs OL/backup QB help/RB but might have to wait for rounds 3-6.
3. Parsons and Diggs did not live up to their spectacular rookie seasons. How will they respond in 2023?
4. Fat Mac play-calling is intriguing because this could easily backfire and cost us games. It could end his reign in Dallas.
5. How will Zeke be sent packing? Restructure? Waiver? Trade? Retirement. He smells. Not fit to even be on a practice squad. How will he go?

Holla and remember I am vulnerable at Valentine's.

Your take on MM being the OC chef of gas station Sammie’s was hilarious if not all together true . It’s unappetizing all right .

As far as Gallup I had not heard did he make a surgeon some more $ ? I remember his toe tapping TD in the end zone against TB a thing of beauty then against SF he’s disinterested out muscled and SF picks off Dak. Reminds me of the Indy game when he fell down and Stephen Gillmore laughed the pick was so easy . He’s a finesse receiver easily persuaded to “get off my lawn” by DB’s the rascals .

TIL Parsons has been figured out and exposed as a DE.

Oh, wait…
Parsons leads the NFL with an 18.8 percent QB pressure rate since being drafted in 2021 (min. 300 pass rushes), and he has matched Aldon Smith as the only players in NFL history to have nine games with two or more sacks in their first two seasons (with five games left this season to surpass Smith). If pass rushing was all Parsons could do, he’d still be in the Defensive Player of the Year conversation -- but there’s even more to his game. Parsons ranks second among all edge players with 94 defensive stops since 2021 (trailing only Maxx Crosby’s 101). His 136 tackles lead all edge players in the same time span. On a team level, he’s spearheaded a Cowboys group that comfortably leads the NFL in pressure rate (35.8%) and sack rate (11.2%), as Dallas is nipping at Philadelphia’s heels in the remarkably competitive NFC East.

every body just keep in your mind that what you say means nothing. jerry has said many times that he knows what's best so everybody get on his band wagon until he say's other wise which he never will he just keeps going the way of stupidity and will do so. Remember AL DAVIS how he messed up the raiders well you are looking at a repeat of it so see you draft after draft and nothing toward a championship much less a super bowl. jerry is like a corrupt head of a company everybody that is a coach or one of the talking heads on these pod casts will buck him because they make good money and know he will can them if they go to far.

A lot to respond to. But I'll just choose this. Why do you think Gallup is a JAG? When healthy, he was a very good WR. He will be healthy again by training camp. Then he will show all the doubters how good a WR he is once more.

A JAG in tha sence tha Gallup has not had a breakout or stellar or even a consistent year from injury. But with a better QB throwing catchable balls? Maybe Gallup was robbed but he's no Alvin Harper.

Pre-injury he went for 1950 yards and 11 TD's in '19 and '20.

Pretty good for a 3rd round pick. That's why he got a new deal from the Cowboys.

For the record, Gallup has 3326 career yards and 19 career TD's.

For the record, Harper was the 12th pick in the draft and has only 3473 career yards and 21 Career TD's.

So yea Harper maybe wasn't your best choice for comparison. He will be looking up at Gallup in career stats early next year.

Another thing, Harper has Aikman while in Dallas. Gallup has had Dak.

Don't make this an anti-Dak thread, elder street tough.

Yeah, that Harper was on the winning team in the Super Bowl, wasn't he? Wasn't he? I am speaking to you!

To tha point you list Harper with more career yards and TDs? (I know, old guy, that one is retired)
In perception and actual production by Harper that complemented a legend (Irvin) I will take the leaping, healthy, consistent Harper. :muttley:

I caught up on Gallup’s surgery . Basically clean up should be ready for mini camp.

Tolbert is a huge cost as a three if he doesn’t crack the code this season for meaningful snaps . Brown is a dependable stretch the chains outlet but Lamb and Gallup need a third amigo , a vertical threat would make the entire offense better .

Before the surgeries Gallup was this teams Amon St Brown . That dude had 1100 yards this season .

A WR and CB have to be on the grocery list for April since the Joseph Wright Fehoko Tolbert picks have a dry well look to them so far .

CeeDee is our stud, chaps
Work, work, work tha Tolbert into the starting rotation with Brown as pressure valve.
Gallup to me seems a decent player but nothing startling. With a new contract Gallup is ours for a while, anyway.

Parsons didn’t live up to his rookie season? I’m sorry, what?

The triplets were nothing without the best Oline in football. Remember that. Oline should be our focus on offense.

Ironically what Aikman did for this team is what you want Dak to do. Hand the ball of and throw the occasional strike down the field.

Hate it when the name Dak is used among names of icons such as Aikman, Mahomes etc.

Aikman threw for about 200 yards or a little more per game and threw a little over 1 td per game.
