The Cowboys and Eagles are the class of the NFC, but the QB-less 49ers are still a threat, and even though both the Cowboys and Eagles have throttled the Vikings, 2nd meetings between teams are always difficult. So the 10-2 Vikings are not to be counted out. Meanwhile, the Lions are suddenly getting better on defense, and their potent offense has been flying high all year. They could very well catch up and sneak into the wild card round.

Over in the AFC, a triumvirate of teams in the Bills, Bengals and Chiefs are leading the conference. But the Dolphins are pretty good too. The surprising Jets are doing well with the Cowboys’ 5th round pick Mike White leading them, and you never know what the Ravens will do when Lamar Jackson gets well.

How do you rank the top teams in each conference?

Which teams do you believe have a legitimate shot at reaching the Super Bowl?

It's nice not to have the same old same old.

What does that mean?

I’ll take a stab at answering that question.

1. Perennial powerhouse QB’s such as Brady, Rodgers and Russell Wilson are having bad years. Roethlisberger is retired. The Mannings are both out of the league.

2. Teams that have been powers in each conference such as the Packers, Seahawks, Patriots and Steelers are not real threats.

3. Teams like the Bengals, Dolphins, Bills, Jets, Lions and Vikings are ascending.

4. Suddenly, the NFC East is no longer the NFC Least.

On the other hand, the NFC and AFC South divisions continue to suck.

Yeah, I'd actually be pretty worried about running into the Vikings again. They're going to have a big chip on their shoulder from our last visit.

Jumbo75 -great post.
NFL title contenders IMO-----
MIA, KC, CIN, BUF, BAL in the AFC
WAS, SF, PHL, MIN, DAL in the NFC
Two teams that got off to a rocky\shakey start, but have been sneakily and steadily winning the last two months -- the Bengals and the Commanders.
Washington...started 1-4...but, despite the turmoil ...have gone 6-1-1 since.
Cincinnati - many predicted them to be a fluke\one-season wonder; but after an 0-2 start being 2-3, they found their "Super Bowl Hangover" cure...6-1, four-game winning streak since.

Before the post-season fun begins, enjoy the exicitement this month as teams scratch and claw the final five games of the regular season to get one of the 14 playoff spots.

As the great Tom Landry said, when you're in the playoff, what's matters most is how you played the last 3-4 games.

Bad football by the Cowboys in all 3 phases so far today. The lack of consistency from this team will be their Achilles heel. Hope the 2nd half exhibits a significant rebound from the 1st.
