Anyone see it? It seems to have blown everyone away. I will have to check it out once the video hits Youtube.

Something about skydiving to land on the building the conference was in, then repelling down the side of the building and biking (?) into join the conference. Not sure, but it might have been Sergey Brin that did it. Either that or he just kicked it off. Hard to tell. The info coming out is spotty.

okay, Sergey just kicked it off. He wasn't in the blimp. :laugh2:

Yeah, it was pretty cool. IIRC, the price he floated was $1500. Pretty expensive.

I imagine a certain group of folks who make a living using a webcam are pretty excited about it, though.

I think it will be the Segway 2.0. Cool stuff, but won't really go anywhere. Probably a bit to much a head of it's time. I don't think wireless technology is anywhere up to snuff for something like this to really be functional.

My mobile phone loses data connection all the time and while a good G4 connection is very good, that doesn't even say anything about the poor speed and packet quality of 3G which is more prevalent. Then you've got Wifi and it's very limited reach. The fact that you wear them means they should be super portable, but if you're tied to a wifi connection. That isn't the case. It's more like trying to drag an anchor.

Not until LTE is ubiquitous. The LTE on my iPad is faster than my home internet connection.

IMO it's ahead of it's time aesthetically. The look of it is way too futuristic for everyday folks. If they found a way to partner with a brand such as Ray-Ban who is placing their Wayfarer glasses on the heads of just about everyone from age 15-30 I think it would have much more potential to be a hit.

Until that time... you are an Apple-Cider...

I still don't get the hate for Apple... they revolutionized the market...

Your Android phone is a direct ripoff of Apple... like it or not...
