I'd take that pick in a heartbeat.

I'm hoping the Cowboys get DT Dan Williams.

Although, it would be hard to pass up Tate.

Think best player available over need. The Cowboys may not need this player AT THIS TIME. But, they will need likely them the next season. And both Dan Williams and Tate would see some playing time this year.

DE/DT is not a need at this time but next year Spears, Hatcher, and Bowen might be gone.

WR is not a need at this time but next year Roy Williams, Hurd, and Crayton could be gone.

And dont forget: Wade is against starting rookies. So, anyone drafted here is likely to sit for a while.

Why wouldn't it make sense?

Spears, Hatcher and Bowen could all be gone after this season.

And NT/DT/DE Dan Williams would likely be better than Spears, Hatcher, and Bowen. So, you upgrade the position. You get a better pass rush and run support with him.

With this draft, you have to think 2011. Set aside the 2010 needs, which are minimal. We are not desperate at any position.
