I was the one who wrote the post two days ago criticizing him a bit….. but I absolutely loved what I saw last night.

- Micah was moved to linebacker some
- we blitzed some… sent some different looks. Herbert with happy feet all night.
-And don’t look now the run defense just did great against cmc and eckler back to back.

Curious on how mazi did I thought I saw him in on some run plays. With Hankins.

next step have to figure out the mobile qb. Huge test three weeks when we go to Philly.

The defense was sound against the run but they would have lost by 3 score if Herbert didn’t miss wide open WRs all night. The defense definitely made some big plays but could have looked really bad against better QB play.

the defense plays well 90% of the time

but the counter & motion plays put together are theyre weakness which is how AZ and SF beat us

It could be argued the pressure Herbert was feeling from the front four was making him hurry those specific passes and affected his accuracy.

I’d have to see replays but I recall a few where I don’t think he had any excuse to miss. I do recall a few where pressure made him get rid of the ball early but I’m not sure any of those were the 4-5 wide open WRs he missed 20+ yards downfield.

I agree there is no excuse for him not connecting with those but feeling real or imagined pressure has affected throws of better quarterbacks than Herbert in NFL history./

Bland dropped 2 interceptions last night, one a pick 6 and one in the end zone. Dak missed Pollard in the end zone. The refs also missed a hands to the face against the Chargers on that so-called muffed punt that wouldn't have occurred if Bland had made the interception the play before. The Cowboys should have easily won this game...

Yeah but you could argue he missed wide open guys cause he had happy feet all night. He saw our pass rush in his sleep… plus they had no run game to take the pressure off him

Might want to watch some tape again...we ran the exact same crap last night that we did vs the 49ers. CBs off the ball 8-10 yards...Single high safety....Hooker no where to be found...Only reason we didn't get rolled again is Herbert just missed wide open guys. Very uncharacteristic

All that stuff is built in to a Dallas game every week. They never play a clean game. You know before the game starts that Dak is going to miss throws, the defense is going to drop picks, penalties/mistakes are going to come at the worst time, and at some point the coaching is going to create a *** moment. A game where those things don’t happen comes along maybe once a season if that.

Both offensive lines got worked last night. Neither team could run the ball and the QBs were having to move around a lot.

I liked the run defense and the pass rush, but the DBs were cooked a few times and got bailed out by errant throws. If those passes connect we're having a very different conversation about DQ and his defense. But I also think pressure played a part in those throws.

He'll need to get back in the lab because Cooper Kupp, Kyren Williams, and rookie surprise Puka Nacua are coming to town. If you don't recognize those last two names you probably better ask somebody.
