I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I think it will be at least considered a possibility;

that DQ and co. could very well use Parsons at RDE opposite D-Law. He is obviously the beat pure pass rusher on the team. He can still give them that versatility they covet and drop back into coverage like a 3/4 OLB from time to time to get him in space and to keep teams guessing.

They can spend the $ going after a couple of the top LB's in FA, Wagner, White, Oluokun, Campbell and/or maybe even bring back LVE on the cheap.

This would also free them up to draft OL heavy and WR earlier. Plus an upgrade for a true 1 T DT is still needed, as always. This is just one strategy and they could go another direction easily. But like I said I think this will be at least discussed as a possibility.

I know a lot of ya'll will say to keep him at LB and I'm not totally against that. But I have said, even before they drafted him, that after watching him for his entire football career, his best trait is attacking the ball, period.

I dont think thats the plan....but the likely one is a draft pick that needs time to develop when we need help right now.

That, in a nutshell, is why we can't get over the hump.

Can't count on rookies as much as they do.

I fear if they move Parsons to RDE full time other teams will just run right at him and negate his speed. I can see using him as a RDE on passing downs but otherwise they should leave him at LB.

I don't know if we have anyone on the rooster. But agree Parsons likely would play some time on the edge. I still like the idea of moving him around, but are still in need of edge and LB help.

We have zero at LB and it is far easier to defend Parsons if you know where he is going to lineup on a given play. Sure Parsons will rush, but he can be used differently based on matchups. Quinn already said he would like to keep him at LB.

If Gregory’s replacement is already on the roster we’re really in trouble. Our pass rush wasn’t where it needed to be with him. We can’t just fill his spot with an average player and expect to improve.

Cannot win in the NFL with just two pass rushers and five JAGs in your front seven. Have to add at least one more impact player.

Odiggy and Golston will be given a chance and possibly Armstrong if resigned for a cap friendly amount. I prefer to let Armstrong go. Draft a DE if not a FA.

I’m all for moving him around…

So the exact same as if we'd resigned RG. He couldn't be relied upon either.
