I do not claim to be an NFL expert - none of are - but I have one Motto that has held true for 30 years - "When a team plays for field goal positioning rather than look to score 7 - you deserve every bit of heartbreak you get"

Parcells played for FG's against Washington - IN THE 3RD QUARTER!! THIRD!! LIKE AN IDIOT!!

And today Mr.Asinine was on display - He ran 2 Gutless Dives with Barber and settled for a 33 yd FG from a guy he coming back off an injury - LIKE A FOOL. And called another ridiculous Roll out to Keyshawn to which Bledsoe grounded...that play is so moronic b/c it takes away 85% of the field and Key has to make a perfect grab on a perfect throw...Stupid.

Then 55 Secs left in the 4th and he called some of the most conservative crap plays I've ever seen - Dump off Half Assed screens ...etc...

And don't tell me it was all Payton b/c Bill is standing right there.

NOT TO MENTION - The Worst Call Since "No Danny No" that WR toss to Glenn after running it 6 times to Key - was beyond disgusting.

Happy T-Giving Bill - you blew the game you clown.

why are you glad exactly???

Usually when we lose I get upset. You know, winning being the point of the game and all

I dont understand the playcalling at the end of the first half or at the end of game. What really baffled me is after running a bunch of draws they decide to pass it on 3 and a mile from our 30 with 15 seconds left in the game. Nothing good was going to come of that, Im just glad Bledsoe didnt throw a pick like he did vs Seattle.

Why am I happy - b/c I hope this wakes us up, we've been playing tight for awhile now...we were terrible v.s. Detroit...and we stunk v.s. Philly.
Let today be a lesson that when you try to play it conservative - you get the short end of the stick all too often.

This should serve as a cold wakeup call.

I agree. The play calling at the end of the half and the game was just mind boggling. We could have easily won this game, but instead lost because of mistakes and poor play calling. We brought in competition for Cundiff at the beginning of the season for a reason, because Parcells didn't really trust him. So in the biggest game of the season thus far what does he do? Put the games outcome on the leg of the very kicker he didn't trust to win games.

Open up the playbook and do what got us out to a great start, pass the damn ball to Glenn deep.

The short throw to Glenn on third down, and a third-down screen to Barber (is that right?) earlier in the game were the only plays I had a significant problem with. Oh, and the fade route to Keyshawn in the end zone on third down wasn't my favorite.

It might help if you paid attention during the game.

Barber never touched the ball on that field-goal drive, and the two plays prior to the failed kick were both passes.

So tell us all how we are suppose to open up the offense with the OL we have. They do a horrible job of opening holes for the running game and protecting Bledsoe. So tell us how we just open it all up.....oh wait we need a good OL to that.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good slam ;)

Why would you be happy we lost?

To be honest, the only reason I would ever have to root for a loss is if we suck so bad that we need to lose to get a number 1 pick and that is a extreme and highly unlikely scenario.

I hate to lecture you, but you really should be proud of your Dallas Cowboys. Gone are the days of blowout losses and having to start studying the Dallas Mavericks in November because you know the Cowboys arent playoff bound.

Other than the horrible WR screens, I didn't see anything to be upset about. You have to be able to run the ball. Simple as that. Our running game is horrible because our offensive line is horrible. Without a decent offensive line, it doesn't matter what gameplan you bring with you. You are going to get beat.

All in all, I thought we played a good game against a very good opponent. We just couldn't finish the game.

Freakin' Billy Cundiff...

We should not have called that hitch pass on 3rd and 1 to Terry Glenn. That was a horrible call by Payton (Parcell). We should have run it. But then again, second guess all you want, if we had made it, it would have looked genius. Tis the nature of the game.

But facts are, it turned out to be a bad call being that Drew hit Terry Glenn's feet with that pass. Then Parcells elected to punt, turning it over to our defense that is known to break down in the last few minutes. Go figure.

That must be why we outscored the Denver offence 21 to 14.

Bottom line, good teams find a way to win. Denver was on the road and won when we should have. Special teams (Billy Cundiff) cost us the game in the end.

No way should we have gone into OT vs. the Donkeys. They got lucky.

The Dallas Cowboys can hang with any team in the damn league. The Donkeys will now be eating the cheese from the damn mediots for a whole week.

Of course I agree w/ NJCowboy. That Hitch never works for us and to call it at a critical time is moronic. Denver wasn't "lucky", unless you consider the results of the coin toss for OT. Once again, for the 3rd time this year, we lost a game we should have won because of a "play to not lose" attitude by the coaches. PO-caliber teams teams can get 6 points when they are within the 10 yrd line. One of the biggest complaints about Campo's teams was the lack of scoring TDs inside the RZ. What's changed? And you have to hand it to Denver, they took a couple of our rejects and turned them into good DL players. That's the sign of a good coach IMHO. I have other complaints but it's too late to go on, and it won't change anyway. We'll be back w/ the same gripes after the next loss...

A couple of things I disagree with in this thread.

First off, it's been established that Bledsoe audibled into the short pass to Glenn on that 3rd down, the original play call was a run to Barber.

Second, for all those complaining about relying on Cundiff, for goodness sake the guy just showed he's all the way back from that injury by nailing a 56-yarder four days prior (if you ask me, that's the perplexing call right there, when they let him try from that distance) and kicking off pretty decently. How are you not going to trust him with a 33 yard field goal? Cundiff blew it, plain and simple, it is not Parcells's fault.

So much wasted effort... So much stupidity... I can't be happy about this loss. I can only mourn.
