Gutsy call on the fumble/TD by refs

We give the officials a lot of grief because they mostly deserve it. However, they picked up a defensive holding call against us on the strip sack that led to a TD return because they determined that the ball was out before the hold. They easily could have stuck with the call or not noticed the timing and no one would have thought the worst about it, since Brown clearly held Kupp. I blame them when they are wrong, but I commend them for getting that one right when they didn't absolutely have to, especially in a supposedly hostile environment (or maybe they knew that it was more of a Cowboys crowd).

it's a good thing to pick up the flag if it didn't affect the play, same thing the refs should have done for that "hold" on the Raiders on that missed FG

I'm surprised they reversed it. You can actually see both at the same time on one of the replays shown during the game. The fumble and the hold were about the same time.

There was a play early in the Raiders vs Chiefs game where a Chiefs player was down and someone touched his helmet but he got up and ran for 5 more yards and they gave it to him, but a few seconds later without a challenge they moved it back to where he was touched down. It was a good example of someone using a radio down to the ump to tell them the correct call without a challenge or slowing the game down. That is all the NFL really needs.

Yeah I don't see how the hold could have happened after the sack. There just wasn't enough of time.

I chalked it up to another case of them cheating for us.

Not a gutsy call. The refs just made the right call. They did what they are supposed to do.
