FA JUST started. There is still a good player out there for everyone of our needs. Will we sign them all? no but we arent done yet. Take a valium

Join the club. We'll actually I'm not panicing yet, but REAL concerned. I don't want us to blow big bucks on players who not that good but we all know there certainly some good players out there who would help this team. I can only assume Jones/Parcells carefully hoarding their money to avoid overspending (but they've stretched that just a little too far) so they have enough money left in 06 to resign 1-3 of our players this year & remainder before FA begins in 07.

If it makes you feel better, someone posted that Vanderjagt here today and an offer is on the table for him; he and his agent had't responded when offer made. So we wait....

Also FB Sowell & FA Marcus Coleman coming in Friday and if Cowboys really interested I guess they could get signed, although I think Coleman is done but would like to be proved wrong. So best scenario is we pick up our K and FS within few days for right price. Of course if Vanderjagt doesn't accept our offer, we know Jones is low-balling him.
 
I don't know how cowboy fans could not be in total panic mode.... We have put ourselves in such a bad position that we almost HAVE to sign TO....makes me freaking sick
 
The Cowboys are just waiting for guys like LaVar Arrington, Tom Ashworth, Neal, and Vanderjagt to lower their asking prices. After another 2 days, FAs will start to sign deals so they don't miss out on the big money. Right now most FAs are asking for too much. Owens is the only guy who will probably get big money on a later date.
 
I honestly think we will wait until the second round of mass player cuts before we make any serious moves. This occurs after the draft and around pre-season time. We can find some serious value there, but I do agree that we need to get the ball rolling on a game changing WR at least.
 
honestly there really haven't been a terrible amount of signings around the entire league...Cleveland, Wash, and St Louis went a little nuts and have signed several players (to bloated contracts) but about everyone else is just onesies or twosies or mostly insignificant. There are lots of teams with more needs than us that haven't done any more than we have so far. I don't want to be the team that pays a safety that's barely in the top 15 in the league like they are the #1 S in the league.
I think there are a few guys (like Fabini and Key) who will figure out that they're not worth as much as they'd like. I think the guys we signed were excellent signings with an amazingly low cap hit. We should still have around 20 mil to spend. Only thing I'm concerned about is not having a kicker yet and the guy I wanted is gone. I really wanted Bentley or Hutchinson....so I'm a little disappointed but those guys got paid something ridiculous.
I expect we'll find a kicker, I'm afraid we'll sign that one WR who's initials I forget, Coleman, and one more OL. If that's the case, we'll be okay going into the draft. and hopefully grab Lawson....
