War Room analysis
Strengths: Is physically impressive; has great size and overwhelming strength. Is difficult to tackle in the open field
Weaknesses: Is very inexperienced. Does not have good burst and is not elusive. Needs to improve his blocking skills and overall awareness when pass-blocking.
Bottom line: Jacobs has done a nice job showcasing his talent this season and leading the Salukis to the Gateway Conference title. Jacobs transferred this year from Auburn after learning Carnell "Cadillac" Williams and Ronnie Brown would return for their senior seasons. Jacobs has had an impressive season but against lesser competition. Jacobs (6-3, 250) has tremendous size, is strong and is tough to tackle. He runs well but lacks elite speed or elusiveness, thus he might be better suited as a running back/fullback hybrid. Jacobs must improve his blocking skills, but he has the size and strength to do the job. His physical size and athletic ability make him an intriguing prospect in the middle rounds.
Dan Pompei analysis
Tall, upright runner who takes awhile to get going. Has power and speed once he takes a few steps. Could be converted to tight end.
