I think everyone would agree with this statement- Dak Prescott is not and never will be a Hall a Fame quarterback. Dak had a bad season and was the reason for the loss against the 49ers. But my belief is that Dak is good quarterback, probably between the 8 and 12 range within the league but will never challenge the elites. The problem with this situation is since the early 1990s over 70% of Super Bowls are won by Hall of Fame QBs. So for Dallas to win a championship three things have to happen. First - Dak can’t make mistakes like he did this year. He needs to play like Romo in 2014 and himself in 2016. Second - Health - can’t loose any key players. Didn’t think he was that valuable but the loss of Steele destroyed the run game and losing Brown and Lewis hurt the secondary. Third - need to be lucky or make a play - From the Dez catch, to Rodgers hanging onto the ball with the Heath sack or even this week with Warner catching the deflected pass but Diggs dropping it. I mean if Turbines doesn’t spin into the kicker it’s a tie ball game. The bottom line we need makes the play that wins the game not the other team.
Hall of Fame quarterbacks make the game so much easier for a team that is why they win over 70% of the Super Bowls. It is also the reason I would bet that over the next 10 years, Kansas City & Cincinnati and some other team with a future Hall of Fame QB will be hosting the Lombardi Trophy in probably 7or8 of them.
