Good to hear these guy's take on the game. Optimistic, but realistic. They are just as stumped as most fans and don't seem to have much faith the Cowboys will do much in the Tourney either. Tried to listen while doing something else, so did best I could to recap Big Nate, Jesse Holley, Shannon and the Gang.

Callouts:
  • Offense
    • Pollard your playmaker last year, CeeDee this year. Why NOT involve them in the game more? Jesse Holley more upset about CeeDee, Nate Newton more upset about Tony Pollard.
    • Why can Miami play Mostert like Christian McCaffrey but the Cowboys can't with Pollard? Pollard is just as quick.
    • CeeDee's blame is on play calling but fault lies at Coach AND QB. QB just as guilty for not getting his guy involved. CeeDee was on fire and looked like he was about to have a 200 yard game. What happened??!! Why not involve him more?
    • Hunter Luepke. Why going from almost no snaps to almost every snap? Too late to put in those kind of wrinkles. Not Hunter's fault as much.
  • Defense
    • Offense at least made the play at the end. This came down to a dawg moment. All you have to do as defense is hold your ground and win that game. That's what wins December and Playoff games. Couldn't do it.
  • Micah & Penalties
    • They hate to talk about penalties because it's an excuse, but it's a bizarre situation to go so long without a penalty.
    • Nate said if he did what other O-Linemen do these days he'd be out of a job, but NFL is so different now and favors the passer. Both him and Jesse don't watch enough of other star pass rushers to say if this is the norm.
    • When Shannon asked if anyway to go behind the channels, Jesse said best thing is to grease the refs. Most coaches will talk refs up before the game and tell them to keep their eyes open for something. At least puts it in their head. But everyone worried about how refs will react in further games if their boys are telling them that #11 continues to call them out in media.
  • Overall
    • They're realistic. Cowboys have squandered a great situation going into December. Going to be a long hard road in Playoffs. Sounds like they blame coaching for offense and players for defense, but listen for yourself. Link not up yet.

I hated the play for the Cowboys left and right tackles for this very game. Two sacks from the Cowboys left side from not blocking down and allowing two straight unblocked sacks that ripped apart Dak Prescott.

A few names for the reason the defense had regressed

Hankins being out, Vander Esch being out.

Hooker, Wilson and Kearse have all seem to regressed since last years dominance.

These lighter fronts on defense are killing us as guys like Clark are not doing well shedding blocks.

Agreed. But instead of manning up and admitting they didn’t stop the final drive, defense would rather point fingers and play the ref blame game.
