Terrible news.
Philly, Tennessee and Washington are run first, run well offenses that can shorten a game quickly. Plus, all three have stout defenses.
I hope Hankins is back for the playoffs, but people need to calm down on this. Between the Minnesota, NYG, Indy, and Houston game the guy played a combined 67 snaps, an average of about 16 snaps per game. In non of those did this team get gashed by the run with or without Hankins. Also to note is Quinton Bohanna had probably the best game of his career this past Sunday after Hankins went down.
The run defense has been significantly better the last four weeks, and while Hankins helps the Cowboys issues ran deeper than just needing a big body out there. By large part they have fixed the majority of the issues in relation to the run game.
The good news is that at least I won't waste a lot of time watching because the game will be over quickly!!!Terrible news.

At this point, it doesn’t matter much. We win one, you’re locked in as a 5 seed. We would need to lose all 4 and Washington / Seattle to win out to pass us to get the 5. At this point, SF may pass Minnesota for the 2 so it’s not the end of the world. You never want to lose out. They realistically don’t have a chance to catch Philly. They play the Bears who are eliminated, Dallas, Saints who will be eliminated and the Giants likely playing for their playoff life. No chance NY will take out Philly if they are playing for the 1 seed.Terrible news.

Oh I’m not saying give up or don’t think we cannot get it. Just meaning more so it’s not a full blown panic if we lose those gamesUntil Philly clinches the NFC East Cowboys need to continue to apply the pressure. I agree Philly will be favored in all those games but it takes 1 slips up, 1 bad game. Bears are eliminated yes they have nothing to lose and with Fields ability to run and passing improving you take a game for granted and Philly could lose.

see his words carefully. He said, "you can see Johnathan back for the playoffs." This is not a definitive statement he will be back. The Cowboys are always overly optimistic about plyer injuries and rarely accurate. I assume we can also see Hankins miss the rest of the year.
But one thing Hankins has done in Dallas is show how important the need for a bit strong interior DL is.
We need 2 wins or 1 win and loss each by NYG, Washington, Seattle to secure the 5th seed in the playoffs.
1 of those will be next week between Washington and NYG.
Win next week and I believe that clinches a playoff spot. If we aren't winning the division, which looks doubtful. Then at least secure the 5th seed, then rest players if Eagles clinch the NFCE.
Still come down to that Eagles game.
