We aren’t gonna be top 5 against the run, but Hankins is proving to be as advertised: A quiet run-stuffer that takes on double teams and forces RBs to go off script

Well done Front Office!

It’s huge no pun intended. Because against some of these read option teams our outside guys are gonna have to stay disciplined. We saw it a little against the giants. We played it really well… but doing that can make us vulnerable up the middle. Every play Hankins is in he takes up two defenders.

On top of that our discipline seems to be a lot better against the run.

It’s almost like Hankins simplifies the defense because he straight eats about 5ft of lateral space that doesn’t move, like a column the defense uses as a marker to key off of, and the RB has to go around it.

I think he will only get more snaps as time goes on

I hope against a team like Philly he's playing close to 60-65% of snaps.
On another note, why is Bohanna's bubble butt not active these days?

Now imagine next year with Hankins and that DT from Baylor. Put them in there together and no one will be running inside

He needed a few weeks on IR to eat more turkey and stuffing and get fatter because he was getting too skinny playing all those snaps. He will be just fine.

..I agree as well. I liked Hankins from the start. Good dude, with positive vibes. And solid player.

We definitely haven't seen those right up the middle gashes near as often like earlier in the season.

I’m still scratching my head why we didn’t sign this guy five years ago. We wanted him then and he was available. He is a nice addition to our team.

A+ trade acquisition for what this team needed. Still a long way to go and some good running teams, but Hankins has definitely proved a bit of an anchor.

Wanted him a few years ago but we had that moron rod that didn't value lane clogging run stuffers and the raiders scooped him up for cheap. Better late than never. Hope we re-sign him in the offseason.

Well done Front Office!

FO is kicking butt these past couple of years.

I, for one, am appreciative of the job they've done.
