Happy Easter

When I was 4 years old, my parents took the family to the Sportsman's Club my grandfather belonged to for their Easter egg hunt.

Incredibly, I found the egg that won me a rabbitt, probably the last thing I've ever won in my life.

We took it home and Dad made a nice pen for him.

One June 10th, 1964 my mother gave birth to twin girls...our German Shepard gave birth to 11 pups, and my male rabbitt gave birth to 6 little bunnies.

I don't recall what happened with the pups or the bunnies...but it wasn't long before Dad decided to let my rabbitt go live with the neighbors up the block. Of course I could visit it anytime I wanted.

A week later I went to visit my rabbitt...only to find that he...errrr...she had become that Sunday's dinner.

I am a haunted man.

Yes, he doesn't exist. He's extinct. Hunters wiped him out during rabbit season about 300 years ago.

OMG... Please don't destroy my dream.
