I hope the little ghosts and goblins who come hunting candy can give you a small reason to smile today.

Trick or treat, defense was asleep.
Please don't go out and repeat.

If you do, I will swear.
Then I'll stare at Rob Ryans hair.

Happy Halloween CZ

We rarely get any kids coming through our neighborhood so we don't even buy candy anymore. We turn out our lights and go to a different part of the house.

We make Halloween bags of candy. We routinely hand out 100 bags on Halloween.

We do that now, but for a different reason, ... we get upwards of 150-170 kids from 3-4 surrounding towns that we have no idea who they are. We end up spending $60 on candy. They are either 15 or 16 years old who shouldn't be trick-or-treating, or six months old in a stroller with the parents saying "Timmy says trick or treat", and then "Timmy says thank you."

Let me guess who eats that candy.

We see their old junk cars driving up and down our street. We have no idea who these people are.

Are you kidding me? What has happened to Halloween, my wife and I used to LOVE to sit out on our front step and talk with all of the kids. I would joke with them and ask them about their costumes.

My wife taught school and I coached Little League, we knew almost everybody.

Now it's strangers running through our neighborhood. It's not fun anymore.

I hear you. The 15 or 16 yr olds wouldn't bother me so much if they actually attempted to wear a costume. They are usually just wearing their regular clothes.

They bother me, they are too old. But I agree, wear a costume.

And most don't even say trick or treat or thank you. They just stand there looking at you with their bag open.

Sometimes I look back at them, .. they look at me, and I say, ... "what"?

They don't know what to do.

My wife doesn't like when I do that. :D

I went out at that age. But we all made sure to dress up, and we weren't going for candy, we were going for canned goods for a homeless shelter. And then the people usually tossed in candy for us as well. Pretty sweet gig, everybody wins. Haha.
