If San Diego wants him, they better hire him today. If he leaves He probably won't return.

Sure. He should be.

But let's deal in reality here. Jerry isn't hiring a guy like Harbaugh unless Harbaugh is OK withe being subservient to Jerry on football matters.

And then look at it from Harbaugh's perspective. Why would you go to Dallas, to be employed by a meddlesome owner when you can likely get the San Diego job, have likely most of the control and are handed a good, young QB?

I will still be surprised if they even fire McCarthy. I'd be flabbergasted if they actually eventually announce Harbaugh as the new HC.

The idea of not wanting to work with Jerry Jones is a fallacy. Bill Parcells proved this as myth years ago. Jerry Jones will just be happy if he gets credit. The coaches, Will McClay, and the scouts build this team, not Jerry.
LOL.

Bill Parcells was literally pulled out of a TV studio to coach us. He was a shell of a former coach and he was so desperate to get back into coaching, he was willing to swallow the obvious limitations he'd have in Dallas.

No coach worth his salt, like a Harbaugh, who is going to want to have a lot of say in the football operations is going to work within the structure put in place here in Dallas unless Jerry has a come to Jesus moment and understands his limitations as a GM.

Surprised why all the talk is about beliceck and not the best coach out there who is an Offenaive coach with incredible discipline and coaching acumen and has won at every level .
he is much younger than beliceck and should be the priority in any coaching hire .
I think many assume the best coaching prospect has enough sense to stay away from here. Who wants to win 12 games every year and be scapegoated for when the whole team doesn’t show up? Bellicheat is only interested in the winning record and he would get it here.

We have had Mike McCarthy, Jason Garrett, Dave Campo, Chan Gailey and Wade Phillips be our coaches. That seems like a list of guys who settled for them who we actually wanted or needed.

In no world is harbaugh a better coach than bill belichick. Let’s stop with the stupidity already
Belichick is 72 years old. I don’t think he is or would be a long term answer at HC.

No, sorry. Parcells was given total control. That's why we had to watch them select Bobby Carpenter in the first round in 2006 because Parcells coached his father. That's why he brought in so many of his old Jets and Patriots players (Terry Glenn, Keyshawn Johnson, Ryan Young, Aaron Glenn, Richie Anderson, etc.).

Parcells had no limitations here or else he would not have taken the job. Jerry Jones is at fault for a lot, but he is not as much of a meddler as he's made out to be. Not defending him, just making a point.
