During the holiday season I often listen to some Christmas "oldies" and Mel Torme songs are often played... Can't think of Mel Torme without thinking of Harry Anderson– "Night Court" reference there.

Well, at least he out lived Mel Tormé.

The funny thing is, Mel Tormé wasn't just a Night Court thing. The writers actually wrote it into his character because Harry actually did love Mel Tormé.

Yeah, I remember reading that.

Beep Beep Ritchie.

Loved Night Court...great theme music as well.

You hardly ever see old reruns of night court anymore.

Had a Sgt in the army that looked and sometimes acted like Bull.

No, you don't see reruns of that show around...

I loved night court. Some of the best Cheers moments was when he was on as a guest. "Harry the Hatter" was the stage name he used. RIP Harry the Hatter.

After his second show "Dave's World" went off the air, he has led a very low profile as heard he is a funny but really nice person. And that he got tired of Hollywood. But loved "Night Court" as a kid of the 1980's. May he RIP! Also a great magician and a Mel Torme fan!
