Has Thomas "Pepper" Johnson played in any games?

I remember Parcells carrying on about this rookie class when the final cuts were made after pre-season, how he felt "someone was watching over him" when he got people like Thomas Johnson the LB.

But what happened to Johnson? It's evelmn games into the season. Has he been active for any games? Is he so under-utilized that we just never hear of him?

Was Parcells just blowing smoke?

in case you didn't notice, we've actually got some depth on the line this year. Johnson's roster spot tells you BP thinks he can contribute

He's not a linebacker, he's a lineman. He's listed as the 3rd NT on the Cowboys depth chart.

Parcells kept Johnson cause he saw great potential in him; he wanted to move Johnson to the PS where he could be developed and not use up a spot on the team. Unfortunately, Johnson showed enough in practice/preseason games that Parcells didn't want to risk him being taken off the waiver wire (same as RB Tyler Thompson). Hopefully there is still some time left in this season that Johnson gets a chance to get on the field, even on ST. BTW: One of our scouts reported couple of months ago that there were many scouts around from other NFL teams interested in our DL players; these scouts assumed Cowboys would have to cut at least 1 maybe 2 of these guys. Parcells screwed that idea when he decided to cut some of our vets so he could keep 8 DL (Coleman, Spears, Ratliff, Ferguson, Glover, Johnson, Ellis & Candy) and of course Ware at OLB. Obviously it was good move by Parcells given how most of these guys have played but it did cause us to lose some depth (but not much quality) behind other starting positions on the team.

I think it is so unfair to Thomas "Pepper" Johnson because he beat Ratliff, Carson, and Coleman out in preason....

He plays with a meanstreak... I think he deserves a chance...

They are developing Johnson at NT while Ratliff and Coleman are strong side ends. Carson did get beat out, he was cut.
