Hate to put a damper on things

But, we, as have everyone else in the NFC East has been helped by an easy schedule. Tampa, KC, Oak, Sea, Car, Wash thats 7 games with teams that will have top 5/10 picks. For Washington they have played Rams in addition I beileve. Imagine if we played the AFC East this year what our record and the rest of the division would be. I wouldn't be suprised if 9-7 won the division if we were playing the AFC East. With that being said, who are we? Do we really know. That Packer game this week reminded me of the Steeler game last year. It's funny were 9 games in and have no idea what level our team is at. Opinions

Don't worry, you haven't. How exactly does the GB game remind you of the Pit game. Both were road games losses played on grass. Outside of that I see no similarities.

In my opinion you can have quality wins and losses. Most important is when you play a team and how they are playing at that time.

We lost to a Giants team in week 2 that got off to a 5-0 start. That's a quality loss.
We lost to a Bronco team in week 4, on the road no less, that got off to I believe a 6-0 start. Another quality loss.

We beat a Falcons team in week 6 who was 4-1 at the time. Quality win.

We then beat a 5-2 Eagles team on the road coming off very impressive back to back wins including a drubbing of the Giants. Another quality win.

I won't put the Packers loss in the quality category yet. Lets see how they do the next few weeks. I have a feeling they've just started a little run. But they were a good 4-4 team. The TB loss was terrible, but the Packers had played some good football this season. I do see them staying in the play-off race til the final week.

You must love the BCS.

...Dallas went a long way in helping them to hang around until the end of the season...if they are not a quality team then what does it say for Dallas?...and what does it say that the only team with a winning record they've beaten is Dallas?...there sole quality win to date...

Why post this? What is the point? It's not like we picked our early season schedule like they do in college football. There are many thing you can complain about or spread doom and gloom about. The schedule? Really? Try joining one of the other Cowboy bashing threads. There are plenty to choose from.

You can only play the opponents on the Schedule.

As someone stated on here before, this league is setup for most teams to be able to beat each other on any given day.

If you are the beneficiary of an easy schedule you will ultimately get exposed when you play the better teams in this league.

People were thinking that Green Bay was going to be easy pickins because of their loss to Tampa Bay. Everyone forgot how difficult a win TB was for the Cowboys. That first game was a tough win. This was before TB changed their QB for someone who's legs aren't nailed to the ground.

GB is a good team. The Cowboys lost to this good team who's back was against the wall because they didn't play particularly well and the breaks didn't fall their way.

Washington isn't going to be easy either. They've just come off a HUGE win against Denver. Anyone remember DENVER??

It's a tough league. Deal with it.

Go Cowboys!!!

TBAY 1-8
NYG 5-4
Den 6-3
KC 2-7
Philly 5-4
Car 4-5
Atl 5-4
GB 5-4
Sea 3-6

36-45

Im just saying with that schedule, we have no idea how we would do against an Indy, Min, No, Ne, etc and I know we wouldn't have to play most of them. We could go in and get slaughtered and just be a mid card team or we can knock off a heavyweight. The point I was trying to make is after 9 weeks and with this schedule, can anyone tell how we would do. We could be pretenders. We could be contenders.

People bring up New Orleans having an easy schedule. They played

Philly like us
NYG like us
Atl like us
Car like us
NYJ is our equivalent to Den (they were 3-0 I believe at the time they played, don't quote me)
Det is our KC
St.Louis is our TB
Miami is our GB
Buffalo is our Sea

Well, looks like the schedules are even. The only difference is there 9-0 we're 6-3. In the larger scheme are they 3 games better than us? Thats what I mean about a damper. When we start playing NO, NYG/Philly again,
and Sd we could hit a rough patch.
