Back to the future: Report has Mack Brown returning as UNC football coach

Chapel Hill, N.C. — The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will look to the past for its football future. Inside Carolina, the official fan site backed by CBS Sports Digital and 247Sports, reported Monday morning that Mack Brown would return as the Tar Heels head coach.

Brown, who coached the Heels to a 69-46 record from 1988 to 1997, had worked at ESPN as a commentator since leaving the University of Texas after the 2013 season.

Art Shell as well
