Remember the days when it was super bowl or bust? What happened to some of you guys? Don't you remember how pissed you were when we lost the 94-95 championship? How frustrated you were that Jerry never gave Jimmy the opportunity to win at least 3 more super bowls? I mean we were the franchise that got rid of Chan Gailey after two playoff seasons!
I think the long stretch of disappointing seasons is starting to have an effect on some of our expectations of this franchise. We have become so numb to losing, any type of success is satisfying.
I don't even remember discussing "how hard we played" during the 90s teams. Was that ever an issue?
Since when is it a success when we don't have penalties/fumbles? Since when is it a success when we form tackle? when we protect the qb? These are EXPECTATIONS we should have for professional athletes of the greatest franchise in sports, not measures of success.
It makes me sad seeing threads praising the team for a valiant comeback vs the saints. Ummm why were they down 17-0 at home, on thanksgiving in the first place? This team has done more to disrespect the
then any team in its past. Winning only one game at home is shameful.
We need to get back to judging this team, by the wins/losses in the playoffs and Super Bowl. Don't let these current group of losers effect your outlook on what is considered success for The Dallas Cowboys. Remember the past. Remember the legends. Remember the Tradition. It is up to us as fans to hold our expectations high and never expect anything less than a super bowl w/out there being consequences. If these players don't embrace those goals, they can go somewhere else. Because past players and coaches have laid a foundation for this franchise that is built on winning, and winning often.
