Henson's progress

Hey Guys,

First time posting. I watched Drew Henson when he was at Michigan. He was awesome. I am not going to repost his past because everyone in Cowboyland knows it, but if you were Drew's QB coach, did he made any progress over the last year. His throwing motion has been changed, and I think his footwork sucks. The speed of the game is obviously too fast for him right now. I agree with some of you, he will be the future at QB; but there is a lot of work to do even for the possibility for next year. At least the pressure is off now. When he was traded to the boys, I honestly thought it would take about 4 years just because he had a short college career before whiffing at curve balls for the Yankees.

I feel very comfortable with Romo. I think he will do the great job at second of command, but the intangibles between Romo and Henson are noticable.

Maybe year 3 will bring the complete qb in Henson, then the three qbs can battle it out. What a wonderful problem to have.

Nice first post..objectively stated.

I watched Henson VERY closely at Michigan. Right now, this isn't the same guy.

We'll see what happens in the future.

Romo has done well and deserves to be #2.

I'm hoping he makes the same progress Romo did from year 2 to 3 in preseason. If so, I think he'll stake a claim for the starter job. If not, it'll be time to cut our losses.

Henson lacks the football experience Romo and Bledsoe have. Can he bridge that gap next year - I think thats a reach but will be happy if he "gets it" and fulfills all this "potential" and future. Romo is making a move - if any qb were to challenge Bledsoe next camp.

They may want Henson back with the way Carr has played during the preseason. His rating last week was a big fat ZERO.
