Here is a trick that you can show to your friends/family.

Get a penny, a nickel, and a dime.

Arrange them on your out stretched palm of your hand, heads up and show them to your subject.

Now, tell them..."Johnny's mom had three children. She named one of them Penny". (now remove the penny from your hand, leaving the nickel and dime).

Now say, "She named the second child Nicholas". (now remove the nickel from your hand, leaving the dime left)

Now ask your subject..."What did she name her third child?"
