How old is Walker?
48 y/o...6'1" 216 lbs w/ 4% body fat  ... they say his regimen of 5000 situps & pushups per day is down to 2500 & 1500, respectively! His physician said he has the conditioning of a 22 y/o man! The man is truly a freak of nature...

I'll try and watch the fight, but I don't get Showtime on my TV. I usually have to pay and watch Strikeforce events online. I personally think he'll do fine against the guy he's fighting, who doesn't seem to be good enough or at least ready for the big leagues like Strikeforce/DREAM/UFC. So it's a toss up, but I think Herschel will win this one, but I don't think he'll make it far in the sport. But the real reason I'm watching this is to see Marius Zaromskis shut Diaz up.

I hope he does ok but unless they gave him either a tomato can, or someone really old as well, I'm afraid he's likely going to have his butt handed to him.
his opponents record is 1-1

I just want to add that the money he gets from this fight is going to a charity in TX. So, our boy clearly isn't doing anything stupid because he needs the money. Go Herschel! :fight:

He was on Pros vs Joes a couple years back and he looked like he could still bring it. He ran hit one of the Joe's so hard he almost knocked him out cold. To me he is one of the best pure athletes of our generation and it wouldnt surprise me in the least if he won the fight.

A quick look kind of has me surprised that Van Damme was really some sort of martial artist, 18-1 record. I always thought he was just an actor.

you don't win the kumite like he did without being a real martial artist

Bloodsport is a classic movie and Leah Ayres and underapreciated beauty.

Like some of you said... Herschel is a total freak of nature. That term gets used for about 15 guys a year every draft now and has become completely overused, but Herschel really was one. I've always thought he got shortchanged perception-wise, maybe because he wasn't a great player in the NFL. Bo Jackson got his due as one of the best athletes ever, and Herschel was just like him. But for some reason Herschel gets overlooked a little bit.
