Maybe Joseph had to work himself back into football shape? He's a big boy, so not signing until the preseason is over can't be good for his conditioning.

Golston was a bit surprising. Maybe he just needs more time as a base end, but it probably helped that Pittsburgh really wanted to establish the run. Better passing teams might take advantage by passing when he's out there on early downs.

In another thread we have guys talking about dumping Martin and I assume letting Bass take over for him.

I like Bass but he's got a long way to go. And Martin is not the Martin from 5 years ago but he's still a quality OG (even if he technically is not living up to what the contract value is at this point in his career).

There’s also a dead money thing with him after he heisted Jerry last summer.
