Historic Times? Perhaps Just the Shoes

We've seen all manner of strange and epic times in the 40 yard dashes this year w/pro days.

Is there some home-brewed magic/manipulation involved? In some cases, I think yes. But there's something else going on w/running times. And not just with the NFL.

Just check out The Shoes. If you look at Track and Field Times you'll see that around the world, records are being not only passed, but trampled upon. With superior shoes.

Nike has invented shoes that provide such superior performance that some have cried foul. "Unfair advantage." Those same shoes are worn by most, if not all, of this NFL crop of prospects.
