No doubt she got beat up by a smaller opponent on Saturday. I never seen her fight before that except the few seconds of her knocking the crap out of Rousey. I'm thinking the OP is correct.

She's simply better at striking which is not Ronda's style. If Ronda did what she should have done, what she's best at, she'd have taken Holms down and submitted here probably in two minutes or less.

Ronda got a big head and suddenly thought she was the most feared striker in the world because she knocked out Beth the previous fight.

She played right into the only strength that Holms has and that's a stand up game.

If they fought 10 more times Ronda would win all 10 times, without question.


Holms has simply been exposed at this point. Tate proved what everyone who'd watched Holm before already knew...she has zero ground game. Ziltch.

This lady proved that people who are just as good at striking (or better) will also absolutely destroy her.

Holm's fifteen minutes were up 15 minutes after the Ronda fight ended.

Yeah... And "matched up well" is wrong anyway.
Matched up well would have been a good competitive fight..

Reminds me of Marvin Hagler vs Iran Barkley.
Hagler was great... Wayyyyyy greater than Barkley... But Barkley destroyed him twice with devastating left hook if I remember correctly.
