Honus Wagner Speaks!

In this incredible footage, a 59-year-old Honus Wagner talks about playing baseball since he was 15 years old. He then bats with solid hits & then talks about his thoughts on the current baseball of the day. The exact date of filming is unknown other than 1933. Wagner returned to the Pittsburgh Pirates as a coach & goodwill ambassador for an additional 19 season stint.

Cooperstown has many audio clips from great players before TV; and like this one which was played in movie theatres (the only place back then you could see any kind of moving pictures)

I spent 5 days there back in the late 90's not long after they opened that part of the Baseball HOF and it was incredible.

Actually hearing Ruth and Cobb and Christy Matheson and so many other great players, it really has an impact hard to describe.
