Horse collar tackle hits home

My son plays HS freshman football,at yesterdays game one of the running backs for us bounced outside on a run and the defender made a Horse collar tackle and the runner got his legs caught under him. Hence he was on the ground screaming in pain. The result is a compound fracture of his tibia. I have always been ok with getting them down however you can, and my mind wont change just hurts here because I have coached this kid for 6 years and he is a damn good player and kid

Yeah, it is hard to see injuries occur,especially to kids you are close to.

I love football but it carries a heavy price at times.
