Hospital stay

Can't believe I'm the only one who saw this thread. Must've dropped down the page very quickly.

I've been in the hospital for the last three days. Did I miss anything?
Of course you did, coming here is like showering, need to do that once a day.

Rags, I am not sure a hospital stay get's you a pass. Good to hear you are doing better and UTI's are nothing to fool around with so here's to your health.

Yes. I'm fine now. Thank you. Just a bad UTI.

Sorry to hear you were ill. But I have a PSA.

I assume you are male? If so, they gave you the speech about men and UTIs? Listen to them. It is very rare for men to have UTIs and most of the time when they do there is a bigger problem going on in the bladder. The cystoscopies are humiliating and uncomfortable but necessary. If they recommend it, do it. I had a UTI 4 years ago and I have had 10 more cystoscopies since then because they discovered a cancerous tumor in my bladder. Thank God for the UTI or I never would have known and thankfully they caught it very early. Now I have it done regularly. Good luck!

For those who don't know, a cystoscopy is a procedure where the slide a tube through the urethra into the bladder. Then they insert a fiberoptic camera and light through the tube so they can inspect the lining of the bladder. I have had more people I don't know handling my junk in the last 4 years than a male movies star in Hugh Hefner's grotto.

You'd think someone would invent a way to put a cap on the side of your bladder, like a canteen...then just unscrew the cap and have a peek!

Had one of those before because of a UTI. Every time I think of it, which you reminded me of it, I cringe. Thank God for antibiotics.

I am male. I have had cystoscopies before, but it's been a while since my last one.
