Right now he is about 245 pounds, but has the frame to put on about 20 pounds without losing explosiveness. How much do you think he could get up to as a rookie without putting on too much at once

Pass rush specialist with the potential to be more down the line

He’s a monster pass rusher…arguably the best speed rusher in the draft.

He plays bigger than his size but with Parsons I wonder how good a fit he’d be. He should definitely be in consideration in the teens but need to dig in more in his run stopping ability.

He’s going to have back to back seasons of big time production in the SEC so should be in our radar in the teens.

Lawrence was the same way when he came out. 245 pounds but played like he was 265.

Despite a need for another edge rusher, the priority has to be fixing the run defense. Every DL prospect has to help in that area. We’ve had a good pass rushers in the past but they never got much of chance when teams you always in 3rd and shorts

Tank was bigger as a prospect…but yea if Pearce can get bigger and stronger sign me up. Dude is a monster.
I got him just below Scourton, who would be a day 1 brickhouse. Buy Pearce is right there in that group I would take in the mid 1st

who is he?
Edge who will likely go in the mid first. Impressive pass rushing skill set. Lightning quick off the snap and can transition speed to power. Plays the run well at the college level but will need to bulk. He is light at 245 pounds but has one of those frames that can add 20-25 pounds without losing explosiveness

Think Will McDonald but with ability to get bigger

I just don’t know if Scourton is the athlete to be above average pro. Looking forward to his combine but looks like a day 2 guy to me.
Remember we were talking about finding a 5T 3-4 DE, here he is. I question is pass rush abilities, but he is excellent run defender. He has the prototype size and weight for that position.

Pearce looks like a pretty thin guy. He might have another 10 pounds in him, and given how easily college linemen are moving him around, I doubt he'll ever be an NFL power rusher.

I think he's a lot like Chop Robinson from last year, and Chop's starting to turn it on for the Dolphins. But he's not an on-the-line *** kicker. You are drafting both players for pure speed to turn the corner. 2 years of big SEC production gives me confidence that Pearce has those kind of wheels.

If we’re looking for a run clogger I can find one much later in the draft.

I’m not takin an Edge in the first 2 rounds unless I feel good about your pass rush potential.

I agree, however, some may think he is more of a pass rusher then I believe

Pearce is a great rusher. He’s pretty good against the run, but doesn’t have the anchor for LDE. Could be a good RDE with Kneeland at LDE

Isn’t that Kneeland for us. We spent a second round pick for.a run stuffer with pass rush potential.
