In light of the weak present market and escalated prices -we got a bargain on a very solid (not great) guard. Kudos Jerry and Bill on the foresight...

Jerry sticks with what works. The big names haven't worked (for the most part), while the 'under the radar' guys have panned out quite well. Leaonard Davis might be pricing himself out of that range, leaving...who exactly?

I think we should be asking ourselves as well, how do the signings of Witten, James and Roy look now?

Witten and Roy's, outstanding. Jury is still out on James because of his play. Not signing Newman already is looking scary.

Really though..Every year we wait to sign our guys we are adding $5 mill of garenteed money.

This aspect of the game baffles me$$$$$$$$$$$$

Is money really an object when it comes to winning??

Doesn't winning bring in more money than you put out????

Or can we bring back the 70's?????

Cause the 80's were great when we were winning, but not as great as the 90's and the blurr that came with it............:starspin

What really looks impressive is the Gurode signing. A "pro bowl" center in this market for that price is very nice.

Gurode looks like out and out robbery right now. You think he ISN'T kicking himself?

Actually he probably isn't kicking himself. He seems like a well spoken, honorable young man and got the deal he wanted. :D

Now Pork Chop is pretty good. Don't know that Davis is really any better then he is.

Let's be realistic here. Womack is an efficient backup type, but he's nothing in comparison to Davis.

Now, he does play harder and smarter than Davis, so that counts for something.

Give me a guy with less talent that tries harder any time.
