Ok, I figured out how to copy live audio feed using audatity program. How do i upload the audio file on spears on theticket today, I assume I need to post link or something for credit to theticket, anything else ? And how do i upload the file onto cowboyszone. Didnt want to violate any copy right laws, I recaped some, but as you all know sometimes my recaps stink. So, trying to make it all better for you all.

Also, do i have to upload the file onto another website, for link? And if so how?

Not sure how to do this, but I do know that Audacity files are huge, and only compatible with Audacity. You can download an additional program that converts Audacity files to mp3. Cant remember the program name, but if you google Audacity to mp3 , I am sure you will find it.

Man, that sounds like a lot of work, something I didnt want to do. What I might do then, since I can now record live podcasts, if record it, then type the podcast up. Thanks for the info though, I will look it up, still waiting to see if i can post the file and not against copy right laws against cowboyszone or myself.

It's not too hard: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?i=lame-mp3&s=install

Windows

  1. Go to the LAME download page.
  2. Under "For Audacity on Windows", left-click the link "Lame v3.98.3 for Audacity on Windows.exe" and save the file anywhere on your computer. Do not right-click the link to the .exe file.
  3. Double-click "Lame v3.98.3 for Audacity on Windows.exe" to launch it (you can safely ignore any warnings that the "publisher could not be verified").
  4. Follow the "Setup" instructions to install LAME for Audacity. Do not change the offered destination location of "C:\Program Files\Lame for Audacity".
  5. The first time you choose "File > Export as MP3", Audacity will ask for the location of "lame_enc.dll". Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Lame for Audacity", select "lame_enc.dll", then click "Open" and "OK". In Audacity Beta, choose "File > Export", select "MP3 Files" in "Save as type", then export should proceed immediately.
  6. If you prefer the Zip option for the LAME download, save the zip file to anywhere on your computer, extract "lame_enc.dll" to any location, then show Audacity where to find it as in Step 5 above.
  7. In case of difficulty, please view our more detailed instructions on the Audacity Wiki.

Uh, Audacity can export to mp3 format. It's built in to the program

not without the lame_enc.dll driver.

From the Audacity Wiki: "Because of patent considerations, Audacity cannot ship with a built-in encoder to export MP3 files, but is able to use the third-party LAME encoder."

I used to use Audacity to record some stuff (like Cowboys games)... Now I just use Free Sound Recorder. More than once Audacity crashed while it was encoding those huge files.

So joe, just download Free Sound Recorder and forget Audacity. Much simpler. (And don't forget to make the bit rate low, like 64k or even less, to make the file size smaller. Voice interviews don't need to be high bit rate.)

As for a place to put them... Megaupload or something? Don't know much on this one.
