I remember hearing if we and the titans won the division that we would be playing at Tennessee again. I know that’s not happening and when I look at future schedule on this site it says an AFC west team we will have to play.

can anyone give me some clarification on this please and thanks.

Each division will play another division opponent based on the position they finished the previous year. Last year the Cowboys finished 1st in their division and played the AFC North Division winner. The Eagles finished 2nd and played the AFC North 2nd place team, and so on. Next year, with the Eagles winning the NFCE they will play the AFC South division winner. The Cowboys will play the AFC South 2nd place team. The Giants the 3rd and the Commanders the last place team.

This year the Cowboys played 6 games against the NFC East, 4 against the NFC North, 4 against the AFC South and 1 each against the NFC West, NFC South and AFC North. Since th Cowboys won their division in 2021, they played the 1st place teams in the NFC West (RAms), NFC South (Bucs), and AFC North (Bengals)

Next year they rotate which divisions they play in the NFC and AFC so they will plays 6 games against the NFC East, 4 games against the AFC East, 4 against the NFC West, and 1 each against the 2nd place teams in the NFC South, the NFC North, and the AFC South assuming Dallas finishes in 2nd place. If they should overtake the Eagles, they will play the 1st place teams again. Right now it looks like we will play the Packers again, the Titans or Jags again, and Carolina, New Orleans or Tampa again.

Did you see the link I have? Why do they say in that link that it will be an afc west team? Also could you tell me this, will it be at Tennessee or Jacksonville next year or would it be a home game for Dallas? What determines that?

Maybe this will help: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...duling-formula-will-work-with-the-extra-game/

We won't know if the Cowboys play the Titans or Jaguars until after the last game of the season when the 1st and second place teams are determined in both divisions. But the 1st place team in one division with play the first place team in the other. The game will be on the road because the Cowboys played the Bengals at home.
