How does a lockout affect the next Madden?

I don't know but I would ponder a guess that it would be between two bodies of organizations and EA Sports. The players union agrees to them to have the names involved, and the NFL itself gives them the team logos. As long as the two agree to their content then Madden can release it and just copy the rosters of the last season, no new additions except for whatever play changes they improve.

It could make the franchise mode deeper, and add a whole new dimension to the game.......with Owners/Players Association meetings, CBA negotiations, strikes, lockouts, etc.

lol, they will release the game on time whether there's a draft or not. They'll just update the rosters later. They want their money.

What would be funny is, you buy it, start a season and then it says you can't play because there is a lockout right now. Try again later.

The lockout affects virtual players too!

EA is the all time sale you a polished terd company.


I've never seen such great presentation on a sports game and yet the gameplay itself is just completely neglected.

Heh I used to love the older Maddens and some of the NFL games from the 90's where they'd cut to FMV videos during pre game and during half time.

I wish, for the last 2 years they've actually managed to make it worse with every new game. Madden 11 is the worst football game in quite some time, it's shockingly bad even by EA standards
