That was a huge omission. Few could push the buttons like Johnson could.

The list includes: (not necessarily in this order)

Bum Phillips
Bill Parcells
Hank Stram
George Allen
Bill Cowher
Marty Schottenheimer
Dick Vermeil
Jon Gruden
Sam Wyche
Vince Lombardi

Because he had already been number one in the "Best Hair" category and didn't want to put him in multiple lists.

What list are you referencing? Source?

San Wyche, he could not get team over hump, so what did he motivate his team to do............ Oh yeah we are talking about the Cinny Bengals

Sam had a Super Bowl...till Joe Montana stopped John Candy in the stands!

"let the mind control the body, not the body controlling the mind"
"how bout them cowboys"
on those two nfl films soundbytes, his psych degree and his 2 (really 3) SB wins, he definitely should be there, especially over Wyche and Phillips.

and if you dont think an nfl films soundbyte or clip should get you anything it really, really helped Hank Stram and Mike Singletary get in the Hall of Fame.

If you look at the list there is a glaring reason for why he's not.

Everyone on that list spent years and years in the league, most of it with one team, while Jimmy really only had the 5 years with Dallas where he was even remotely good. His Dolphins teams were never very good, at all, and so that's likely exactly why they omitted him.

what does that mean?

I saw it last night also....I thought it was crazy! He should be on that list. He could motivate players with the best of them. Jon Gruden was number three on the list. Give me a break!

Jimmy should clearly be on that list.

But I'm sure he doesn't give a crap. He's sitting on his boat with two Super Bowl rings.

how much motivation does a team littered with HOFers need?

jj didn't do it long enough and stunk up the NFL in miami.

It's not just that. Jimmy took a squad that was green and directed it to the Super Bowl at least a year ahead of schedule. That's motivation, especially when the Cowboys had to beat seasoned teams such as the 49ers, Giants, Eagles, Skins and Bills.
