How many sacks could DWare have today?

I'm thinking about 4-6, maybe more...and that doesn't include all of the missed tackles attributed to the other players on "D". It seemed like Greg Ellis was the only player on defense that knew what to do with McNabb when he got his hands on him. Don't get me wrong-I know McNabb is super strong and elusive for a QB so stocky, but....come on!! I counted over two dozen missed tackles on McNabb alone.

DWare is my favorite player..period, so that's why I'm extra hard on him. Dude seems to end up with like 99 QB pressures a season because of nights like this past Monday. He got SSSSSOOOOOOOO close in so many ways, in so many positions, it was ridulous. He was at McNabbs' feet, just behind him, almost batting a pass away, etc. The worst were the times when one of the strongest players on the Cowboys had McNabb in his grasp, & somehow couldn't bring him down. I know, I know, a hundred players have had the same frustrations. But I'm talking DeMarcus freaking Ware. DWare, my man, you have got to finish or you will never be considered for DPOY.

Sit down & talk with Ellis, and other players who, when they have their man in their grasp, it's game over. This entire defense needs to practice that. I don't know if it's exercising your forearms until you look like freaking Popeye, but something has to happen.

As a side note: I got real excited about Felix Jones, Mike Jenkins, Marty Bennett, and the rest of our rookies who made plays on Monday night. It gets me excited for the future.

none cuz i dont think he is playing today :D

If Ware keeps up his pace then he will end up with 16 sacks on the season. That is pretty darn good. And think about it, Dallas has faced two of the better offensive lines in the NFL in the first two games. Those sack totals may get bigger against some of the weaker lines. Ware is fun to watch.

I guess you must have just missed some of the times when Ellis had Mcnabb in his grasp and looked like a little kid hanging on their Mom? Honestly, Ware is a beast, and very strong, but Mcnabb is strong as well and pretty tough to bring down.

He could have a sack for every play he has been envolved in if he got to the QB before he handed the ball off or anything else.

The fact of the matter is he has one because thats all he was able to produce.

I don't think Ware has a strength problem. I saw him take an inside stunt and push a big guard about 3 yards back nearly into McNabb.

I'd say he could have at least three or four before Packers' Security Personnel realize that he snuck onto the field and was pummeling Rogers on an off day.

Ware is very strong....fast......just needs a new move.

needs to use his head fakes and hands more to throw the the linemans balance off. thats why none of his other moves are very effective. he could learn a little from ellis.

Ware is incredible to watch! That's why I expect so much from him. Back in the mid-late 70s, on 3rd & long, you knew Randy White, Harvey Martin, or Too Tall Jones was going to sack someone. You just knew it. Many times all three would meet at the QB at the same time. That is what I expect from DWare & Co. I see him get so close so many times, it drives me crazy. I know he can reach that pinnacle that so few have reached, and I guess I'm a little too anxious for him to get there.

Anyway, I just need to say, "Our guys-4 sacks, their guys-0 sacks". We had two in a row just when we needed them the most. That's Cowboys football.

Oh yeah!! :starspin

It'll be funny if Ware keeps getting ripped for getting "only one sack" per game, and ends up with 16 sacks.

Love Ware & just want to see him get the recognition from his peers & the experts that he deserves. He's a hard working & highly competitive player but also an extremely nice guy. I'm proud of him and want him to get some slaps on the back that he richly deserves. Hoping he gets at least 3 sacks against the Packers, Ellis gets 2 & if Spencer plays I'd like to see him get 1. Would also like to see the interior of our defense get 1-2 sacks as well. That should shake up Rogers & his OL.

So you would be satisfied with 7 to 10 sacks? Thats reasonable....
